Molly-Mae Hague is once again at the center of social media drama — but this time, Kerry Katona has her back.
The 26-year-old influencer and millionaire businesswoman faced heavy backlash online after saying she “hasn’t done one fun thing all summer,” despite taking multiple luxury holidays. Critics slammed her as “out of touch” and accused her of constantly complaining.
But former Atomic Kitten singer and TV personality Kerry Katona, 44, came to Molly’s defense, insisting that the young mum is likely still working non-stop, even while on vacation.
“Molly-Mae has been experiencing a backlash with critics saying she is ‘out of touch.’ She’s been honest about her struggles and people need to give her a break,” Kerry wrote in her New! magazine column this week.
Katona praised Molly not only as a successful entrepreneur but also as a hands-on mother, acknowledging that parenting a toddler is “a gruelling task.”
“She seems to work 24/7, and I reckon she’s still working while she’s away. I do it too. When you run businesses and have kids, you don’t ever really switch off,” Kerry added.
Molly-Mae has often divided public opinion. Back in 2021, she was heavily criticized for her now-infamous appearance on The Diary of a CEO podcast, where she claimed that everyone “has the same 24 hours in a day” — a comment seen by many as tone-deaf and privileged.
Still, Kerry insists the backlash this time is unfair and people are being overly critical.
Despite the drama, Molly-Mae remains one of the UK’s most influential figures online, with millions of followers and a thriving career in fashion, beauty, and content creation. She shares a one-year-old daughter, Bambi, with boxer Tommy Fury.
Whether fans agree or not, Kerry Katona’s vocal support highlights the ongoing pressure that public figures — especially young women in the spotlight — face to strike a balance between honesty, humility, and hustle.
